At Hunans in Eureka we strive to provide our customers with delicious Chinese and Laotian Cuisine. We’re a local restaurant that has been established since the mid 80’s. Throughout the years Hunans have been passed down from chef to chef. Since June 2023 Hunans has a new ownership bringing the same great taste and more. We’re introducing Laotian dishes like Khao Poon and Khao Piak Sen it’s our take on chicken noodle soup made with handmade noodles.

John and Emily are the heart of the restaurant. John is one of the original chefs that was located in Arcata Hunans Plaza. They bring flavors of both worlds, from Chinese dishes that was taught to them from past owners to the traditional Laotian food that they grew-up a custom learning since they were children. Now, they want to bring it to the local community and have you try delicious Chinese and Laotian dishes.
